The Swiss photographer René Burri is one of the most important photographers of the present day; his photos have long since become iconic images of the 20th century.

He has been a member of the legendary Magnum° photographers' agency since he was remarkably young, has witnessed world-changing events on numerous occasions and has had access to leading personalities from the worlds of politics and culture, such as Pablo Picasso, Winston Churchill, Che Guevara, Fidel Castro and many more. Burri has the special knack of capturing in a photograph key moments of history, and of awakening hidden emotions
