Chilly Gonzales


studied jazz piano at Concordia University in Montreal. As an entertainer, he is known for his diverse, often contradictory compositions ranging from classical piano to chansons to electropop and rap. He has collaborated with the Canadian musicians Feist and Mocky , and has produced albums for stars like Jane Birkin, Charles Aznavour, and Jamie Lidell. He performed songs from his album “Solo Piano” at the 2007 Glenn Gould Festival in Berlin, and in early 2010, he accompanied Peaches in a re-interpretation of the musical “Jesus Christ Superstar.” Gonzales set a world record in May 2009 with a concert lasting more than 27 hours. In fall 2010, his new album “Ivory Tower” will be released, which he produced in collaboration with such musicians as Boys Noize. The album is also the soundtrack to a film about chess that he is currently making with Tiga and Peaches. Chilly Gonzales lives and works in Paris.

was founded in 1998 in Berlin by Julie Gayard, Toby Cornish, and Johannes Braun. Their diverse backgrounds in graphic design, film, and architecture have led to an interdisciplinary, multi-media approach. As a VJ team, they have produced temporary spatial installations, videos, and graphic images based on a coherent visual approach for concerts, films, museums, ministries, festivals, theater, clubs, agencies, cultural institutions, and for their own films and installations.

Markus Schaden

Markus Schaden of Cologne translated his passion into reality in 1998 when he founded his now internationally famous bookshop, which offers a wide range of new releases and important publications from the field of photography—and is coming to C/O Berlin’s anniversary. Markus Schaden not only sells and publishes photography books but also has launched the very ambitious project “The La Brea Matrix.”
